AOC splits with working-class NYers to vote against repeal of Trump’s SALT cap

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez can’t seem to differentiate between middle-class New Yorkers and the 1%.

The firebrand freshman congresswoman from the Bronx and Queens, better known as AOC, split with her party on Thursday and voted against a bill that would repeal part of President Trump’s signature tax legislation.

The self-described socialist voted against removing the SALT cap, which would give working-class citizens in high-tax states like New York and New Jersey a break on state and local dues.

The bill — which will likely be dead on arrival when it hits the Senate — narrowly passed the House, with 218 voting in favor of the measure and 206 voting against it.
